After four years spent exploring mystical ecstasy with live shows characterised by musical abstraction, Raül Refree and Niño de Elche are diving into a closely related concept, and also heading back to basics. These two leading Spanish artists bring their new collaborative show ‘cru+es’ to Sónar by Day in 2025. It’s an exploration of a new world of possibilities for traditional Spanish music, embracing the dichotomy between joy and pain, life and death, with contributions from radical theatre director and set designer Marta Pazos.
